1️⃣ 📊New UPI record: over ₹1 lakh crore per day
In October, UPI recorded 25.47 billion transactions worth ₹31.53 lakh crore. The daily average crossed ₹1 lakh crore for the first time.
Year-over-year: volume +23%, value +16%.
→ Diwali is on 8 November, and the festive rush is still ahead. Check your accounts' daily limits in advance.
2️⃣ 🚨 UPDATE: Binance hack figure now stands at ~$6.3 billion
The FBI has blamed North Korea. According to Binance, top tokens, including USDT, are 100% backed, and the exchange will bear the losses. Withdrawals are reopening in phases: BTC first, followed by Ethereum and BNB Chain.
Reports do not mention TRON yet. Check the network status before making TRC-20 settlements.
3️⃣ 💱 USDT premium in India hits a record high
On 30 October, the index reached 7.19%: ₹101.93 versus a reference price of ₹95.27
Even before the hack, it was already at 6.46%, meaning the hack alone is not the reason behind the increase.
This is an index based on 5 exchanges, not a fixed market rate. Check the live rate before settlement.
4️⃣ 🔎 ED and Delhi Police: the entire money trail is being traced
In the APX betting case, the ED made another arrest on 27 October. The allegations are that money moved through mule accounts, cooperative banks and shell entities before reaching crypto.
In Delhi's ₹3.93 crore case, 7 people were arrested: mule accounts, cash and hawala were used to move money into USDT.
Investigations no longer stop at the bank account. Keep proof of every order: UTR, Invoice ID and bank statement.
5️⃣ ⚖️ Supreme Court: Gaming bans in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka upheld
Review petitions have been dismissed, leaving only the curative petition as the remaining option. The challenge to the PROG Act is proceeding separately.
📌 What to watch next:
🏦 IDBI Bank: Strike on 2–3 November. Branch operations may be disrupted, but UPI and net banking will continue working.
💳 UPI MDR: Will be introduced after Diwali. The date has not been officially notified yet.
